The chess came to Europe as early as in the 8th - 9th century, first to Spain, Italy and France, than to Germany, England and Scandinavia. In Russia, it was known in the 9th century where it came directly from the East.
Chess is known all over the world and it becomes more and more popular, and the key to its success lies in unchangeable principles, clear rules, variety of situations and certain philosophy of the game that in itself is interesting and exciting.
